Alfred W. Sandlin enlisted on 10 May 1862 @ Aberdeen, MS and was a member of Co H, 43rd MS Infantry.On Sept. 1, 1862 he was promoted to 1st Sargeant of the company.
On 27th Jan. 1862 he was transfered "by reason of promotion" to the 1st Mississippi Infantry and was given the rank of 3rd Lieutenant. I thought you would like to know about his connection with the 43rd MS. Thanks again, Bill
