I believe that he was my gggrandfather. If so, he is buried in the cemetery at Bogue Chitto, MS (my hometown). You may already have that information. I have a cousin who has done extensive research into our Sasser genealogy who may know about his military history if you are interested. There is also a website that features information about all of the Sassers who are buried in the Bogue Chitto cemetery and a link where you can request a photo of a specific grave. We have not been able to trace back to the Sassers' country of origin. If you have any information about that, I would appreciate it.
