Re: The real George M.D. Street

I do understand what you two are speaking of.
In a site in Tennessee, it says my great grandfather, James Thomas Harper of the 5th Tenn. was killed
in Atlanta. It is did not happen. He returned home to Jackson, Tenn., married, had four children, his wife died
and he moved on to Arkansas. In Arkansas he remarried in 1883, and had eight more children.
I have his pug nose, his blaze birthmark between the eyes, and his head full of hair.
But because I did not submit the information, I cannot take it down. I also politely asked
the lady who submitted it, to take it down and I have a feeling she did not want to be
embarrased by being wrong, so she has never taken it down.
Stuff like this can be a real pain, but for me, knowing the truth is enough.
