He was sent to the hospital at Mumfordville, KY, in the fall of 1862, according to his Compiled Service Record. He was carried as absent in hospital through the Feb. 1864 roll. No further records. Not listed as deserted or as having died. I'd look for Confederate burials in the Mumfordville, KY, area. You can order his service record from the link at the top of this page.
