Found a Samuel Lewallen, Moreland's Regiment Alabama Cavalry. I imagine there are experts here so I won't go into details on the unit except that it fought in MS with Forrest, Brice's Crossroads and later. There are 80 other Confederate Lewallens listed in the S&S. I'd say we're getting warmer lol. (family spelling from Tate Co, MS)
