I will give it a shot:

On this 6th day of October 1863, before me, Joseph S.
Ryan, clerk of the Probate Court of said county, personally appeared
Eugenia Foster, who being duly sworn according to law, appears
and says that she is the widow of John Foster, dec., who was a private
in Capt. Cluck's Co. 42nd Regiment Miss. Vols., commanded by
Col. Miller in the service of the Confederate States in the present war
with the United States, that the said John Foster entered the
service at Sarepta Miss. on or about the 7th day of March
1862 and died at Richmond, Virginia on or about the 12th
day of September 1862. And that she makes this deposition
for the purpose of obtaining from the Government of the Confederate
States whatever may have been due the said John Foster at the
time of his death for pay, bounty, or other allowances for service
as private as aforesaid.

Sworn to under oath upon me
J.S. Ryan, Clerk

Regards,
Kenny
