John Caspar welty Married Elizabeth Hauff, and had Lafayette Welty. Lafayette Served in the Confederate States Army. He maried Mary Jane Riley and he died in 1866 in Mississippi. John Caspar Welty took his mothers maiden name, he was born out of wed lock. His father was John Henderson Jr. He later married and had a family. The Weltys are of German decent. Hope this Helps,
