MDAH mentions the 8th, 9th, 11th and 12th Regiments as belonging to Micajah Berry's 1st Brigade of State Troops in May 1862. Were these different units to the several Minute Men regiments and battalions being organised at the same time?

Does anyone have any information about these four regiments - commanders etc? MDAH indicates that regimental officers were appointed.
