Re: Guns lost at Champion Hill and BBB

I ran across a report showing the inventory of Confederate guns at Port Hudson during the siege. The report is by a Confederate Col. dated October 23, 1863. The report concludes: "Two small Whitworth, guns, throwing twelve-pound projectiles, were placed on the river, under Capt. Sparkman, of the First Tennessee battalion."
Can give specific citation if needed.
