Battle of Iuka: 150th Anniv.

The commemorative services for the 150th Anniversary of the Battle of Iuka, Miss., were held a few weeks ago over the Labor Day holiday weekend with excellent attendance, I've read. The battle itself took place on 19-20 Sept. 1862.

Because of the expertise and input of many people on this board and others like it, we were able to compile a somewhat complete list of the men who died there and are most likely among those buried in a mass grave at Iuka. I'm reposting a link to that list and research in recognition of those who fell on the battlefield 150 years ago. (Don't let the address make you think it's just about Alabamians it's just my site where I had an opportunity to post it): <http://www.alabama37th.com/iuka.htm>
