You can procure his records through the service noted in the Red enclosed box above.

He served in the Union army. I have not been able to locate either a veteran's or widow's application for pensions.

Enlisted on 9/20/1861 at Calhoon, KY as a Lieut Colonel.

On 1/1/1862 he was commissioned into Field & Staff KY 25th Infantry, U. S. A.
He Resigned on 4/15/1862

On 9/8/1862 he was commissioned into Field & Staff KY 8th Cavalry, U. S. A.
He was Mustered Out on 9/23/1863 at Russellville, KY

* Colonel 4/1/1863
