Battle of Harrisburg - terrain question

Based on what I have read in several sources, Murray's Union Brigade prepared their position on the crest of a small ridge before the July 14 battle by reinforcing it with rail fences, etc and then laid down on top of the ridge during the attack by Crossland's Kentucky Brigade. Are there any sources that state that Murray's soldiers actually "dug in" on the ridge. Some of the old maps state "entrenchment" at this location but I am not sure that is the case.
