In Response To: A G Brown CO A 24th MS INF? ()

He could also be George Elisia Brown born abt 1827 died June 1862. He is a brother in law to Joel Dickinson who served in the 3rd Batt. Ms infantry Co. H. The family story said he was wounded at Shiloh and brought home by Dickinson and died. I know the 3rd was made from the 33rd and 45th MS infantry and they were present at Shiloh in April of 1862 and had several killed and wounded. I don't know exactly what regiment this man served in but it makes since he was in one of those and if so they just put the wrong initials on his headstone. Any information provided would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
