More information for William W. Mobley:

William W. Mobley has another file listed under the 25th Mississippi Infantry, Company I, with 2 cards, and on this record his name is spelled W. W. Mably.

William W. Mobley enlisted August 10, 1861 in Memphis at the age of 30 years in Company I of the 25th Mississippi Infantry (aka Martin's Regiment of Volunteers).

In January 1862 the 25th Mississippi Infantry was designated as the 2nd Confederate Infantry. He served in Company I of the 2nd Confederate Infantry until May 1862 when the regiment was disbanded.

Company I then became Company A of the 1st Battalion Mississippi Sharp Shooters.

His age is listed as 30 years on his enlistment record in 1861, and his age is listed as 35 years on a hospital record dated July 7, 1864, therefore, he was born approx. 1828-1831.
