Could the J. Brewer captured April 3, 1865 at Richmond, VA and died April 20, 1865 at Jackson Hospital, Richmond, VA be the same J. Brewer, who enlisted Aug 22, 1861 with Capt. Henry Roberts Co., Gaines Warriors. of Greene Co., MS? J. Brewer and R. Brewer were stricken from the roll. I know James Brewer was born in 1844 in LA, was brother of Reece Brewer and died in the Civil War. James was on the 1850 Census living in Perry Co., MS. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.
