Hello,

I am researching the Confederate artillery present at the Battle of Allatoona on October 5th, 1864. Myself and other have positively identified two of the Confederate batteries there (the Pointe Coupee Louisiana and Barbour Alabama batteries), but are seeking more sources to positively identify the third.

Does anybody have or know of any primary sources for Cowan's Mississippi or Hoskin's Brookhaven Artillery? A diary, or newspaper article? Anything that might give a mention of the two batteries activities in September or October 1864?
