Digging around and posting on this site, I've seen this information a few times now. So, post-Vicksburg, the Battalion was not much larger than what, earlier in the war, would have been the accepted size of a company? After their parole period, did they add to their numbers? Also, in reading that there weren't many involved in the Mobile-area surrender, does that mean that the Battalion's numbers remained small, post-Vicksburg? I'm I right that the Battalion was originally about 700 men?

Btw, it bugs me that when I bring up a window to type a reply or new messages that I can't see the other posts on the thread. Now I can't remember what else I was going to say/respond to. Lol.
