Dear James; I had intended to mention Mr. Warren Grabreau and his boo 98 Days.
His sketches contain as much information on that area as I know of.
As you know, Mr. Grebreau, now deceased, was about as good an expert on Campaign Vicksburg as I know of. He worked with Mr. Bearess for a long time.
The Book 98 Days should be readily available in almost any Public Library in Mississipppi.
There is a lot of confusion about that area.
Even the Offiical Records have it all messed up and confused.
As you and I know, Milldale, Snyder's Bluff, Snyder's Mill, Drumgoole's Bulff and Hanynes' Bluff, (Spelled several different ways and I am sure known by other names,) are all in close promixity to each other and all worked together and supported each other.
As our friend suggested, I am quite knowledgeable in the area and would be pleased to be of assistance to you if I can.
I have spent most of a life time prowling over the area.
Let me know.
Also, i have convinced myself that there must be, or must have been, a large Confederate Cemetery in the area. Do you have any suggestions.
