In Response To: Col. Constantine Rea ()

Cannot vouch for the accuracy, but a family tree on ancestry.com shows Maj. Constantine Rae, born in Maury Co. Tenn., 1825, died in Marion, Lauderdale County, Miss. 14 Sep 1864. It also shows his father as Nathan Rae, born in Kentucky in 1800, died in Mobile, Ala. 1843, and his mother as Frances Moody, born in Mecklenburg, Virginia, 1805, died in Greene County, Alabama, 1833. Alabama State Militia records show that Constantine Rae was commissioned a captain in Washington County on 14 Nov 1844. The 1860 census show Con Rae, attorney, age 35, born in Tenn. living with his wife Margaret and four children in Centre Beat, Lauderdale County, Miss. (post office - Marion).
