Re: Special Project: Hood's TN Campaign

To Ron Skellie (or his successor) who replied briefly to my 2007 post about my great grandpa's brother who was shown as W. B. Amacker on 1850 MS census but was not on the 1870 census. Apparently W. B. was the W. D. Amacker whom I found on a Mississippi CSA list showing him in 1862.
William S. Amacker ( brother of my great grandpa and the W. B. Amacker- all 3 plus J.J. were CSA soldiers) gave Willis Barner Amacker as name of his son born on Nov. 30, 1862. So we think that W. B. aka W. D. died in that awful war. Do you have any information on W. D. or W. B. Amacker from Marion County, Mississippi in 38th Regiment, Company I, MS Cavalry?

Thanks,
Mary Anne
