Two of my great grandfathers fought on opposing sides. One was CJ Dalton with the 37th Miss and the other was David Klutts with the 120th Illinois company c. Both were severely wounded (CJ Dalton for sure) died in the city hospital number 2. I suspect the same for David Klutts who is buried in the federal cemetery there in Memphis. Strange huh? However, as we discussed earlier, CJ Dalton’s grave is unknown. Only that he was wounded in the trenches on July 4 and paroled around the 15th to die on the 30th of July in hospital no 2.
