Could you tell me anything more about my great grandfather, Enoch Tate Amacker who served in Columbia Guards, Co. I, 38th Regiment, Mississippi Cavalry (or Infantry Mounted)? I found that he enlisted 3-25-1862 at age 22 when he had 3 small children. His last record June 30, 1864, muster roll stated absent without leave since June 24. His widow's pension application shows he served 4 years and mentions Capt. Foxworth.
