Information from old maps:

The railroad ran north and south from Corinth to Tupelo, Okolona, West Point, Artesia Depot, Macon, Meridian, and further south.

At Artesia Depot there was another track which ran northwest to Columbus.

The train depot was located at the corner of present day 7th Avenue (runs east-west) and 5th Street (runs north-south).

At that time 5th Street was known as Market Street, and 7th Avenue was known as Francis Street. Main Street was about 7 blocks north (runs east-west) of the train depot.

At that time, Market Street had a very slight angle to the southeast.

The Tuscaloosa Road came to an end on the south side of Columbus at Market Street (present day 5th Street). As already stated, Market Street ran north and south at a slight angle to the southeast.

Traveling from Tuscaloosa to Columbus on the Tuscaloosa Road, one would cross the Luxapallila Creek on Blewett’s Bridge and continue on to Market Street, turning right to the center of town.

Soldiers at the train depot could get to Blewett’s Bridge by following Market Street south to the Tuscaloosa Road. As already stated, Market Street ran north and south beside the train depot.

Comparing old maps to present day maps, it looks like Blewett’s Bridge was about where Pickensville Road crosses the Luxapallila.

My thinking is that Blewett's Camp was somewhere between Blewett's Bridge and Market Street.

The Luxapallila, also spelled Looxapallila, was also known as Floating Turtle Creek.
