Dear George,

I'm so sorry for the delayed response to your posting about the passing of your wife, Dorothy. Sometimes important postings get past me, to which I would like to respond.

I've just read her obituary and can see that she was a shining star in your life and that of your family. Being near fifty years married to my wife, I can imagine how different things will be for you in your time of grief.

I will offer up a prayer for Dorothy's memory, for your family and for your comfort and strength.
