Three members of the Lawson family from Madison Co. N.C. were with the 60th N.C.Inf. Two brothers, Benjamin Floyd Lawson and George Washington Lawson along with their nephew, Elijah B. Lawson were wounded and died in hospitals. Benjamin, in Greensboro, Ga. died 7/21/1864, George Washngton,in Bridgeport, Tn.? or Alabama, 10/19/1862 and Elijah, while working as disabled in a shoe shop while in Columbus, Ga. on 5/1/1864. Any info as to possible burial sites for these farmer soldiers?
