It is good to find folks interested in the 60th. Don't forget that Co G was from Polk County. It was originally Co S of the 105th NC Militia. With the Polk Co Sheriff, Johnson L Ward, as the Captain. They were mobilized with the organization of the 6th NC Infantry Battalion. My GGGrandfather was with them and died in Shubuta, MS in '63. His brother-in-law survived the whole ordeal, but I haven't taken the time to get his muster records.
