Re: Capt. William T. Marsh, 4th N.C. Infantry

Wm T Marsh shows up on the 1850 census as a student in New Haven Co, Conn. In 1860 he shows up at South Creek, Beaufort Co, NC with his brother Edward S Marsh and a female L Lewis age 68. Lena Lewis is living with James B Marsh (a 49 yr old farmer in 1850) on the South Creek, Beaufort Co. Census. William's will written in 1862 says he wants to be buried in the plot with his Father, Mother, Brothers, and sisters. The assumption is made then that James B was a brother also.
