Re: 20th NC Infantry; Still time to add info to ro

About 20 years ago I started working on the family tree. I had to give it up after my daughter was born, but provided a lot of information I had gathered, to Ruth Rich Westbrook, including old photographs. She published a book, perhaps you have a copy. I wonder is Ruth still living? She lived with a sister and I once visited them around 1986-1987. I am sure she will remember me.

I spoke to Carlie, on the front porch of his home, around 1986-1987, in southeastern North Carolina. The house sat close to the road. He may have moved to Virginia after that. As I recall, he had recently remarried. I think Carlie may have had a son who lived in or around Newport News. I think Carlie died not too long after I visited him.

My father's line is as follows:

Millard. R. Rich, Jr. (my father)
Millard Rich (grandfather)
William Reddick Rich (great grandfather and oldest son of Lewis James Rich)
Lewis James Rich (great-great grandfather)

What is your line? I am trying to do more research now on the family tree.

James R. (Jim) Rich
Greensboro, NC
