43rd NC INF on 7-2-63

Greetings:

I'm researching my Confederate ancestor's footsteps at Gettysburg. His unit, Company K, 43rd NC INF. crossed the RR cut and was held in the city of G'burg as part of Rodes Division, I have conflicting reports that the 43rd was in the field south of town (Long Lane near the present G'burg hospital) or supporting an artillery unit near the Hargersown (Fairfield) Road. From his service records, he was wounded on 7-2. It would be great to trace his footsteps and get a ballpark area where he was on July 2nd.

Any assistance would be appreciated and thanks in advance.
