Re: 60th NC Infantry
In Response To: Re: 60th NC Infantry ()

I'm a great-great grandaughter of Green Allen Waddell (husband of Mary Ann Miller Waddell, father of Thyme Waddell, James Madison Waddell (my great grandfather married to Carrie Lawson) et al.), from Shut-in Creek, Madison County NC. Green Waddell enlisted (was conscripted?) 5 April 1862 (at about age 24) and was a private in the 60th NC Infantry Regiment, B company, and died either in Morganton in September 1863 or somewhere else on Jan 1, 1965. Do you have any records that might help me find the date of Green Waddell's death and how he died? (His name in some records is spelled Waddle by mistake). Thank you so much for any help you can give.
Best, Diana Evans Ricketts

PS Are we cousins?
