The NC Museum of History has in its collection a Richmond Depot 3rd issue bunting battleflag attributed to the 63rd NCT (5th NC Cav.).

A Mr. Charlie Bigham of Monroe NC, who is a decendant of a 5th NC Cav. trooper, has compiled a good amount of info on that unit. I believe his number is listed in the Monroe directory.
