I think the Thomas E Macy you are looking for served in Company I of the 28th.... He is listed as having joined the unit at age 19 from Yadkin County. I think he had a brother named William who joined with him. He seems to have been wounded in the Spotsylvania Battles. I can send you his entire war time data Don Ernsberger - ernscave@aol.com
