CSA Vets Old Salem Municipal Cemetery

My great grandfather, Sgt. James Anderson Woollen (Guilford Co.), CSA musician, Co. C, 45th N.C. Troops, 1835-1905, is buried Old Salem (Forsyth Co.), N.C., in the municipal (not Moravian) cemetery with a CSA flag inscribed in his old tombstone with the words enlisted Greensboro. Sgt. Woollen and wife, Mrs. Susan Caroline Malcolm Woollen, are in the 1890's book "Lee Family of Virginia" by Edm. Jennings Lee, because daughter Lillian Elizabeth "Muttie" Woollen wed Henry Lee, son of Charles Carter Lee, older brother of Gen. Rbt. Edw. Lee, Sr., CSA. I have a photo of Mrs. Woollen (buried Chatlotte, N.C., 1920) with her little grandson, LtCol Robert Henry "Marse" Lee, USCA, West Point class of 1912. Mrs. Woollen's father was Pvt. James Landreth Malcolm (Malcom), CSA musician, Co. C, 45th, N.C. Troops, died Old Salem Nov. 8, 1895, age 79. The grave of Pvt. Malcolm is believed to be near the marked grave of his son-in-law, Sgt. Woollen. Seek help from Winston-Salem SCV Camp, or others, in checking cemetery office to locate Pvt. Malcolm's grave so it can be marked with U.S. government veterans stone.
