Along with other orginal members,
Washington L. Rivenbark enrolled in Co. "K", 3rd North Carolina Regiment on June 1, 1861, Dogwood Grove NC. I don't have the company name at hand. Rivenbark was wounded in the forearm at Malvern Hill, July 1, 1862, the last of the Seven Days Battles. He later received a surgeon's discharge for disability, issued near Strasburg VA, Nov. 11, 1862.
