Thanks for your reply. The service has been available for some time now, but it's still not generally recognized. As for having to wait on service record copies from the National Archives, someone once told me that the wait was so long that he forgot about his order and was surprised when they arrived in the mail, many months later.

As for delivery time, the National Archives doesn't set the bar very high. Let me assure you, requests through the message board are going to be delivered MUCH more quickly.
