dear mr. martin, in aug, 2010 i was sent info on parham kirk, enlisted 11/11/1861, age 47, into "C" co. NC 33rd infantry. this shows him pow at gettysburg 7/3/1863. so was parham s. kirk, a younger family member,age 32, shown pow on that same date at Gettsburg, left on the battlefield. are these men's records mixed up?. i found the older parham still alive in Erie County, PA in 1870, married late, with children. how can i find out if this man in PA is my man, and how did he get to PA? also where was he between the end of 33rd NC infantry and 28th NC infantry? did these men enlist at the same time and place?? this is so very confusing.
