I am a descendant of Tedford B Oyler. He enlisted as a Pvt on 20 Aug 1862 in Halifax County, NC. He died of pneumonia in Elmira, NY as a prisoner of war 3 years later. I am interested in finding out about the battles he may have been in as a part of this unit. Thank you in advance for any information you can give me.
