My William F. Martin UCV Camp #1590 site is now available at http://rblong.net/ucv/martin/index.htm . Names, ranks, units, photos, death dates, and burial sites are included for the camp members. The Martin Camp was established in Elizabeth City in 1905. Most of the members were from the 8th NC, 7th (17th NC) NC Volunteers, and 56th NC.

A second site is under construction for the Henry M. Shaw UCV Camp #1304 that was formed at Currituck in 1901. Other camps formed in northeastern North Carolina include the Pettigrew Camp in Edenton and the Gates County Camp in Willeyton, both of which only lasted about 6 years.
