I need some help, trying to figure this man's service. He is my 3rd Great-Uncle. There are several men with the same name,or he may have served in different units during his service, I believe his middle initial is B.?
He was from Ashe Co., born in 5 Jan 1828, d. 1914, married Mary "Polly" Sheets in 1851. I have found a Jesse Miller in the 5th Inf, the 37th, and I believe the 54th NC Inf.
I am trying to document all of my relatives Confederate service and I want to be as accurate as possible.
Any help narrowing his service, is greatly appreciated.
