North Carolinians Buried in Virginia

Our local SCV Camp is compiling a list of all Confederate Veterans buried in Rockingham County, Virginia. As expected, we are encountering some problems identifying some of the men.

Local period newspaper articles and cemetery records indicate the following men were buried in the Confederate Section, Woodbine Cemetery, Harrisonburg, Virginia. Additionally, the records indicate these men died in one of the hospitals in Harrisonburg.

However, only the information listed is known. We would like to have the man's complete name, date of birth, death, and basic military history, including rank at death.

Based on the discovered information, we presume the unit designations are for infantry. However, it is not impossible that some of the units are cavalry.

Additionally, we recognize the fact that some names may be misspelled and/or repeated.
