Re: Capt. William T. Marsh, 4th N.C. Infantry

According to the survey of Antietam field burial graves done a few years after the war (available online), Capt. W.T. Marsh's body was found buried alongside those of W.T. Aspray (my kin) and others of the 4th and 14th NC, and a few others, near an apple tree/fence in Benj. Graves garden on the North side of the Shepherdstown Road. It is my understanding that some time later these remains were exhumed and buried at the Washington Cemetery at Hagerstown, MD. I guess it is possible that Capt. Marsh was transported to Bath, NC, for burial in the Palmer House graveyard.
