Trying to determine if Thomas Browning/Brownan/Brownen (born Jan 1825 in NC; marrried 1846 in Haywood Co. NC) served in a unit from North Carolina during the Civil War. In the late 1860s he was living in Gilmer Co. Georgia. Any information re his service in North Carolina or possibly Georgia units is much appreciated.
