I published a book in 2020 on Union prisoners of war who joined the Confederates army (Changing Sides Union Prisoners of War Who Joined the Confederate Army. University of Tennessee Press) and called the men who changed sides galvanized Confederates. I am currently under contract to the same press for a book that is tentatively titled Gray to Blue Galvanized Yankees in the Union Army that should be out in later 2023 or early 2024. I would appreciate copies of any men known to have been galvanized Yankees so I can possibly use them in my book.
