The White House of the Confederacy

A "Kiss of Death"

Please share the following addresses and information with your friends North, South, East, and West.

"National Historic Landmark status is the highest designation, only granted to the crème de la crème; places that by definition have high integrity and are of outstanding significance and surpassing interest to the American people as, again by definition, essential to understanding our nation’s shared history." KATHLEEN S. KILPATRICK

We have enough of our Southern history being changed! It is viewed that if this National Historic Landmark on the National Register of Historic Places is moved it will be an absolute "kiss of death!" This fact is well documented below and there is more. The Virginia Division of the Sons of Confederate Veterans Executive Council has gone on record as unanimously opposing the relocation of The White House. A copy with detail and reasoning can be found at:

As Mr. Brag Bolling of the Virginia Division indicated Ms. Kathleen Kilpatrick, Director of the Virginia Department of Historic Resources which is the Virginia state agency charged with supporting the preservation of Virginia's historic landmarks is supporting that honorable end. As he also mentioned, "I URGE YOU TO READ" HER testimony Linked at the end of this message (The Testimony of Kathleen S. Kilpatrick) and of that of others Linked above. Give it a few seconds to open.

I view the fact that honorable Southern women saved the "White House" and created a museum for all the Southern States, for us, and our future generations. They did this through the Depression, World Wars, Hard Times! Southern States contributed time, money, and artifacts!

If you can, please send even a one-liner, or so, to those below that will have an influence on the future this National Historic Landmark. They can use you input:

Dear,
In reference to your Committee Assigned to Study the Feasibility of Relocating the Museum and White House of the Confederacy (Bill HJ 747), please do not recommend the movement of this National Historic Landmark -- The White House of the Confederacy. Such movement is not in the best interest of Richmond, Virginia, not in the best interest of the State of Virginia, not in the best interest of other Southern States who have contributed, and is certainly not in the best interest the American people with all the future generations to follow us.
