I was told on the Louisiana message board that the NC Archives is very slow in processing orders for Confederate Veteran's Pension Application files. Is this true? Has anyone ordered a pension file and what was your experience?

The service available through these message boards does not provide Confederate pension files for North Carolina. Does anyone know of private researchers who do work at the NC Archives?
