I am searching for information on two of my ancestors that served in the Confederate army. Thomas Weldon Braswell (1847-1919), of Edgecombe, Nash, and Wilson County, and Baily L. W. Overby (1847-1916), of Wake and Warren County. The 1910 census lists them both as serving in the Confederate army but I can find no official record of them actually serving.
I have Baily Overby's musket, which is an 1863 Springfield, and I believe Thomas Braswell was a pensioner in later years.
If anyone could help me find a record for these two, it would be greatly appreciated.
