I have found that Philip H Jean is listed in the 7th Regimet Senior Reserves, he was from Guilford County. I do not know anything further, except his wife Mary is listed as administrator of his estate when she sells some of the land in 1868.

The last name could be spelled, Jean, Gean, Janes, Jane, or Jaynes.
