Greetings folks! Just wanted to let everyone know that I’ve started a new blog about North Carolina in the Civil War (War for Southern Independence), and I’ve started to work on a new project - a book about the 58th North Carolina Troops. This new book will follow the same guidelines and style as my book on the 37th North Carolina Troops did.

I am looking for copies of letters, diaries, family stories, and photographs. Yes, I’ve been through the NC troop books, the 58th’s compiled service records, and the archives at Duke, UNC-Chapel Hill, and the state archives in Raleigh.
