One of the best accounts of life in the 2nd NC Cavalry was written by an officer named William A. Curtis.

Part of his papers are located at the Tennessee State Archives.

I need your help to locate the other part.

I think they're either at Duke, Chapel Hill or the State Archives in Raleigh. Is anyone willing to check on this?

I obtained copies of a considerable number of pages from his memoir for 1864, but I misplaced both my copies and the location of where I got them.

However, before I lost them I made copies of some of the material for Ed Longacre and he returned them to me last week. I'm willing to share them.

My hope is that we can pass around to each other copies the Curtis memoir when we obtain the whole thing.
