I gotta give you credit that is a unique slant, one that I have never heard before. Not wanting to be be caught by the short hairs so to speak I did a little finger walking and found this site
http://www.burgesslegacy.org/house.htm
Seems the colonies had sef governing fron the aerly the days of formation.
Not belkeving this was good enough I jumped forward about a 100 years or so and found information at
http://www.yale.edu/lawweb/avalon/states/statech.htm
which covers a wide range of area and times. The way I read these documents, the early colonies freely gave up power to the ruling class.
I admit I haven't made it quiet up to the War for Southern Independence, so have nothing to post in that area, however if you would be so kind as to post the names of the Southern congressmen and senators, and the states they represented, who voted to hasten their financial ruin I would appreciate it. By what margin were they out voted?
